Our Wednesday K-8 & Inheritance programs kicked off yesterday, Wednesday, September 18th, at our parish school. We are so excited to have new and returning families part of these programs. Let us keep each of these children and teens, their families, and our volunteers and staff in prayer as together we begin this year new of programming. May we all come to better know, love, and serve the Lord as Passionate Disciples.
Children and parents got to see a presentation on the Good Shepard which is part of the Catechesis of the Good Shepard as part of the kick off. The story of the Good Shepard reminds us all of God's love for us and how we can trust in Him. Parents later split off for a brief meeting to focus on the call to live as primary catechists, teachers of the faith, in the home. This means that as parents, they are giving daily testimony to how to live as a disciple of Jesus Christ. Parents were also reminded of the parish purpose of Growing Passionate Disciples which is encapsulated in four values - worship, grow, evangelize, and love.
